Bill Kreger; L.A. County Supervisor of Construction Projects

Bill Kreger, 59, Los Angeles County administrative official who supervised major construction projects. At the time of his death, Kreger was executive consultant to the county’s Economic Development Corp. He had served for many years as assistant chief administrative officer handling the department’s asset management division. In that capacity, he oversaw capital projects including the Van Nuys and Bellflower courthouses, Olive View Medical Center in Sylmar, the Lynwood Justice Center and the completed parking garage of Walt Disney Concert Hall. He also served as chief deputy director of the now-defunct county Department of Urban Affairs and in 1981 helped create the Community Development Commission. Kreger was a lieutenant in the California National Guard. On Friday in Glendale of complications after a fall.
