The third-place Trojans seemingly have locked up a berth in the NCAA tournament, with the pairings to be announced Sunday. Senior forward Tina Thompson, averaging 22.4 points and 10.5 rebounds, was named to the All-Pac-10 team, headed by Stanford’s Kate Starbird (player of the year) and Tara VanDerveer (coach of the year). USC’s Michelle Campbell and Kristin Clark were honorable mention all-conference, and Tiffany Washington was honorable mention all-freshman. USC had lost five in a row to Washington before beating the Huskies, 69-68, in Seattle on Jan. 2.
