H. Edward Dreier Jr.; Real Estate Developer and Civic Leader
H. Edward Dreier Jr., 69, real estate developer and civic leader. Dreier, the father of U.S. Rep. David Dreier (R-San Dimas), was president of H.E. Dreier in Kansas City, Mo., and maintained homes in Kansas City and Rancho Mirage. During the 1950s, he served on the Kansas City Commission on Human Relations. He also was president of the Dreier Family Foundation and served on the executive committee of the Sixth Church of Christ Scientist. In California, he was a patron of the Friends of the Los Angeles Philharmonic and Palm Springs Desert Museum. Dreier graduated from Claremont McKenna College and had been a drill instructor with the U.S. Marine Corps. On Monday in Kansas City.
