Bullfrogs Release 1997 Schedule

The Bullfrogs released their 1997 Roller Hockey International schedule Monday, a week late and four games lighter than a year ago.

Anaheim will play 24 games overall, including its opener at the Pond at 7:30 p.m. June 7 against the St. Louis Vipers, who move to the Western Conference. The 12-game home schedule at the Pond includes a 3 p.m. start July 4 against the San Jose Rhinos.

From a high of 24 teams in 1994, RHI will play its fifth season with 15 teams, three fewer than in 1996. Only nine teams that played last season return and, although it hasn’t been made official, it is expected the league will drop from four divisions to two.
