Friday evening: I go out to a movie in Oxnard with my wife or we order Spruzzo’s Pipeline, a pineapple and ham pizza, and watch “Nash Bridges.”

Saturday morning: If I’m playing golf, I get up early and have a nice cup of coffee with my son, Joey, and then we’ll tee off in Malibu at around 7:30 a.m. We get done by noon and grab a hot dog there. Then we go home and lounge around. I may work out a little (I have my own gym) and make some lunch like risotto or something. I like to cook a lot.

Saturday evening: I’ll call up some friends to come over for dinner or we go out someplace in Malibu, Granita or Tra Di Noi or Bambu. They all have good California food, international cuisine that’s low-cal. We have kids, so usually we call it an early night.

Sunday morning: We wake up as late as possible and read the L.A. Times for hours. Then we watch guys chase balls on TV, whatever ball is in season, take a walk on the beach or swim in our pool.

Sunday evening: I’ll cook something on Sunday night, and we’ll either go see a movie (we’re a big moviegoing family) or we’ll rent laser discs and watch them on our big-screen TV and have popcorn.
