A fire at a vacant home early Tuesday led to one of the largest seizures ever of methamphetamine in Orange County, according to authorities.

About 6 a.m., firefighters extinguished a small fire in the 15300 block of Webster Street that caused little damage and no injuries. Fire crews then found what appeared to be a drug laboratory stocked with large mixing pots and glass beakers.

Police later found more than 90 pounds of methamphetamine ingredients and byproducts at the home, Westminster police said. Only two pounds of the drug were actually ready for use, police said.

About 40 pounds of waste products produced by the drug had to be removed by a hazardous waste disposal crew, police said.

Police have made no arrests in the case and are continuing their investigation.
