Oxnard police arrested a 72-year-old woman and her son Wednesday morning for allegedly peddling heroin out of their home. Another man was also arrested at their home.

The Oxnard police narcotics team, with the help of officers from the Ventura County sheriff’s and the Port Hueneme police departments, raided the family’s two-story home on the 300 block of North Hayes Avenue, said Oxnard Police Sgt. Tim Combs.

The officers arrested Harry Crist, 42, on suspicion of sale and possession of black tar heroin, his mother, Esther Valenzuela, on suspicion of possession of cocaine, maintaining a residence where narcotics are sold and possession of stolen property, and Luis Valenzuela, 64, on an outstanding warrant, Combs said. It was not clear whether Luis Valenzuela is related to the other two suspects, he said.

Officers had raided the residence before, Combs said.

The raid was the culmination of a six-week investigation by Oxnard Police Det. Martin Polo, Combs said.
