California Aero Dynamics, an Albuquerque defense contractor formerly located in Sun Valley, pleaded guilty to making a false statement to the U.S. Department of Defense in federal court in Los Angeles earlier this month, said a spokesman for the U.S. attorney.

The company admitted hiding evidence of mistakenly drilled holes in engine parts intended to be installed in Air Force aircraft and was ordered to pay restitution of $152,446 and a fine of $150,000 by U.S. District Judge Lourdes G. Baird.
