Dave Tanton was named to the new...

Dave Tanton was named to the new position of general manager for the western region for Calabasas-based Unicare Life and Health Insurance Co. He will manage expansion.

Previously, Tanton was a general manager at Blue Cross of California.

* Gary L. Gruttadaurio has joined Oxnard-based Channel Islands National Bank as vice president of lending. He previously was senior vice president and credit administrator for Ventura County National Bank.

Gruttadaurio has 30 years of banking experience, the last 17 in Ventura County.

* Cody Kimbrell has been named retail sales manager of PC Warehouse / Thousand Oaks. He has been with the company a year.

The store, at 3673 E. Thousand Oaks Blvd., specializes in computer system design and is an authorized dealer for Compaq, Sony and Apple products.

* Kenneth W. Mowery has been named to the new position of chief financial officer at Ahlman & Associates in Westlake Village. He will be responsible for all accounting and financial affairs of the advertising, marketing and public relations agency.

Prior to this job, Mowery was a business consultant for 16 years.

* Russell Spencer, formerly of Spencer Loans, has joined Channel Islands Home Loan as a lending officer. A mortgage broker since 1985, Spencer will help buyers obtain financing or refinancing with institutional lenders.

Channel Islands Home Loan has just moved its offices to 335 North A St., Oxnard.
