Wilson Prescribes Rest, No Practice

Coach Ron Wilson, attempting to rest his weary team, called off practice Thursday in Chicago, Saturday in Detroit and Monday in Anaheim. It’s likely the Ducks won’t practice this Thursday either after playing on consecutive nights.

But Wilson is thinking of holding a four-day mini-camp during a break between games next week to sharpen the Ducks for the playoffs.

Brian Bellows said the key to a successful trip was Friday’s 4-3 victory over Chicago.

“We got on the bus Friday quiet and reserved,” Bellows said. “We kind of changed our attitude. If we had lost that game in Chicago. . . . Winning gave us not so much confidence but momentum.”
