Re “A Bold Move Netanyahu Will Regret,” March 28:
If “younger Jews” are not loyal to Judaism, it is because Rabbi Michael Lerner is busy “saving the world,” not giving religious instruction to younger Jews. Further, Lerner fails to realize that it is a united Jerusalem that brings all Jews together, from the agnostic Jew to the ultra-Orthodox Jew, of all ages. The Oslo accords set up the fantasy of a divided Jerusalem that will destroy the peace process in the end, if this misconception is not rectified.
The boundaries that Benjamin Netanyahu is creating by “facts on the ground” have a great deal to do with security. Lerner, living in the U.S., does not have to worry about the safety of Israel. Netanyahu as prime minister does!
