* Glenn Cardoso, executive vice president of New Urban West Inc., was elected president of the Greater Los Angeles / Ventura chapter of the Building Industry Assn. of Southern California.
He was also named governmental affairs chairman of the BIA of Southern California.
* Mike Doyle, distribution center manager for EMI Music Distribution, was appointed to fill a vacancy on the Camarillo Chamber of Commerce’s board of directors.
EMI opened its Camarillo office early last year. Doyle has been with the company two years.
* Elaine Freeman of Thousand Oaks was appointed to the Ventura Campus Community Advisory Board for Cal State Northridge. The 13-member board advises the university president on policy issues related to the Ventura campus.
Freeman replaces Timm Herdt, who resigned when he became the Ventura County Star’s state bureau chief in Sacramento.
