Westwood Project
I have given a lot of thought to the Village Center project. I have lived and worked in Westwood most of my life.
A project that can bring a supermarket and drugstore back to the village will be of benefit to thousands of people. I empathize with those residents who live immediately east of the project for whom the negatives will outweigh the positives. I believe, on balance, the project represents a benefit to the community.
The few who are negatively impacted know who they are and can voice their concerns. The city must have the vision to meet the needs of a vastly larger number of people who are not aware of the project but will benefit from it.
