PairGain Technologies Inc.: The Tustin designer and manufacturer of systems for telecommunications reported that first-quarter net income increased 84% to $11.4 million, or 15 cents a share, from $6.2 million, or 9 cents a share, a year earlier. Revenue advanced 75% to $70.7 million from $40.5 million. PairGain completed its acquisition of Avidia Systems on Feb. 27 and all historical financial and share information has been restated to reflect the combination of the two companies.
