Smith Micro Software Inc. in Aliso Viejo said it has developed software that enables computer users to record video and audio messages and send the clips with their outgoing e-mail. The product, called VideoLink Mail, was released earlier this month and costs about $50.

Smith Micro officials said users of VideoLink can send the messages to anyone with an e-mail account and a computer running Microsoft’s Windows operating system.
