Batterton Appointed President of CalComp

* John C. Batterton has been appointed president, chief executive and a director of CalComp Technology Inc., an Anaheim supplier of computer graphic peripheral products. He succeeds Gary R. Long, who retired in February. John J. Millerick, CalComp senior vice president and chief financial officer, had been serving as acting president and chief executive since Long’s retirement. Batterton had been general manager and vice president of operations in Eastman Kodak’s Business Imaging Systems division since 1994.

* J. Scott Reid has been named president of MBK Senior Properties Ltd., a division of MBK Real Estate Ltd. in Irvine. Before joining MBK, he was president of Southern Assisted Living Corp. Reid has also held senior level positions with ARV Assisted Living, Osprey Financial Group Inc., the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp., Bentall Development Co. and Swinerton Walberg Co. In addition, William J. Kearns has been appointed senior vice president of commercial/industrial development for MBK Southern California Ltd.

* Heather Hollister has been named director of real estate for Wet Seal Inc., an Irvine women’s apparel retailer. She will oversee all of the company’s real estate for new and existing store locations. She had most recently been senior vice president of leasing for General Growth Management Inc. Hollister has also held various real estate positions with Corporate Property Investors and Urban Retail Properties.

* Kevin Abbott has been named vice president and controller of Toshiba America Medical Systems Inc. in Tustin. Abbott joined the company in 1991 as general accounting manager. He became assistant controller in 1992 and controller in 1993. Before joining Toshiba, Abbott worked for Abbey Home Healthcare for two years.

* Ronald Witteveen has been appointed computer graphics manager for Thomas P. Cox Architects in Santa Ana. . Before joining the firm two years ago, he was a computer 3-D modeler with Ormonde Presentation.

* Charles E. Woodrow Jr. has been named a principal of the Jacqueline Dey Co., a Newport Beach executive search firm for the home building industry. Woodrow operated his own home building company in Dallas for 10 years.

* Darroll Buytenhuys has been named to the newly created position of chief operating officer of New Dimension Software Ltd.’s North American unit. He had been executive vice president of the North American unit. Irvine-based New Dimension develops systems management software.

* Sean A. Sheward has been appointed division manager for the Inland Empire for Pacific Bay Homes in Irvine. He was formerly project manager.

* Dan Koon has been named plan president for PacifiCare Health Systems Inc.’s Asia Pacific market. He was former acting chief executive and vice president of operations for PacifiCare of Florida, which was recently sold by PacifiCare. Koon has been with PacifiCare Health Systems since 1995, primarily serving the company on special project teams. PacifiCare, based in Cypress, is a managed health care services company.

* Aviram Margalith has been named senior vice president of Rainbow Technologies Inc. in Irvine, and president of its Mykotronx subsidiary. Margalith was formerly vice president and general manager of Group Technologies Corp. in Tampa.

* Jack M. Kline has been appointed chief operating officer and executive vice president of Christie Inc., a Cypress manufacturer of motion picture theater projection equipment. He had been vice president, sales and marketing, for eight years.

* Steve Recek has been named director of product management for MGV Memory, an Irvine manufacturer of memory enhancement products. Recek previously held management positions in sales and product marketing with several memory enhancement companies in the U.S. and Canada.

* Roger W. Lundy has been appointed a senior vice president of Waldron & Co., an investment banking stock brokerage with offices in Irvine and San Francisco. He was formerly a vice president at Everen Securities in Newport Beach. Lundy also has been an assistant vice president at Oppenheimer & Co. in New York and a vice president for First Charter Ltd.
