Celebration Muted Before Tough Week

Although the Clippers are one victory away from clinching their first playoff berth in four seasons, Clipper Coach Bill Fitch isn’t ready to celebrate.
After tonight’s game against the Dallas Mavericks, the Clippers play their final three games against the Houston Rockets, the Lakers and the Seattle SuperSonics.
“We’ve got some tall timber ahead,” Fitch said. “We’ve got to make sure that we finish off and get another win.”
The Clippers, who have a three-game lead over the Sacramento Kings with four games remaining, also will clinch a playoff berth with a King loss.
