Orchard Named to Newport Dunes Post
* Charles A. Orchard has been named director of retail management for the Newport Dunes Resort in Newport Beach. He was previously regional sales engineer for Modern Equipment, and, before that, production manager for Organic Milling and plant manager for National Pax. Janice Lieberman has been appointed director of human resources. She was formerly human resources supervisor for Sigma Circuits Inc. Also, Russel Glass has joined the resort as food and beverage director. He has more than 10 years’ experience at hotels including the Sheraton Santa Barbara Hotel and Spa, the Parkfront and Convention Hotel in Ann Arbor and the Emerald Hotel in Anaheim.
* Jonathan D. Lazarus and Howard G. Buffett have been elected to the board of directors of Vision Solutions Inc., an Irvine software company. Lazarus recently retired after 11 years with Microsoft Corp., where he served as vice president of strategic relations. Buffett is chairman of the board of the GSI Group, an agricultural manufacturer.
* Reid Mendenhall has joined National Bank of Southern California as vice president and commercial loan officer for the commercial loan division in Newport Beach. He was formerly vice president and business development officer at Sumitomo Bank of California in Huntington Beach.
* Dale Bodman has been appointed president and chief executive of EnviroPacifica Inc., a subsidiary of Gradient Technology Group in Irvine. He succeeds outgoing president Bruce Bosshard. Bodman will remain president of Gradient Engineers Inc., another subsidiary.
* Tim Hogan has been named chief executive of Warmington Homes Communities in Costa Mesa. He will retain his title of president.
* Gary Kermott has joined the board of directors of First American Title Insurance Co. in Santa Ana. He is executive vice president, and holds the additional positions of state manager for California and regional vice president for Arizona and some California counties.
* Kenneth J. Yonkers has been named vice president of investments and sales manager of Smith Barney’s Newport Beach office. He has been with Smith Barney since 1988.
* Robert L. Coleman has joined the board of directors of Masimo Corp., a Mission Viejo developer of signal processing and sensor technologies. Coleman was formerly president and chief executive of MediSense, which was purchased by Abbott Laboratories. He was a co-founder of Nova Biomedical Corp. and president and chief executive from 1976 to 1991.
* Wade Hanniball has been appointed content technologist for Sony Trans Com, an Irvine airline entertainment systems and content provider. Prior to joining the company, Hanniball was the director of new technologies at Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Inc.
* Victor Streufert has been named vice president of finance and administration as well as chief financial officer for National Telephone & Communications Inc. in Irvine. He has served in similar positions at Pysix Corp., American Health Properties, Colgate Palmolive’s Canadian subsidiary Kendall Canada and American Hospital Supply Corp. Also, Debra Chuckas has been appointed vice president of marketing support. She joined the company in 1993 and has served as project manager for customer support and director of marketing support.
* Michael Bajc has been named product manager of MGV Memory, an Irvine manufacturer of memory upgrade modules. He was previously operations manager in the management information systems department at MAH Machine Co. Inc. in Cicero, Ill.
* Lin Pellicano has joined Lawrence & Mayo Inc., a Newport Beach advertising agency, as account executive. She has 16 years of marketing experience, most recently with Morrison, Lee & Stevens in Irvine.
