Interlink Electronics in Camarillo announced revenues for the first quarter of $4.3 million, up 55% from $2.8 million in the first quarter of 1996. Net income advanced to $253,000, or 6 cents per share, as compared with $53,000, or 1 cent per share, for the first quarter of 1996.

“The company achieved another record quarter and its eighth consecutive quarter of profitability,” said Michael Thoben, chairman, CEO and president. “Our momentum continues to be driven in large part by the success and profitability of our VersaPoint computer pointing devices and technologies. This product line grew 74% over the last year.”

Thoben said Interlink will introduce two new retail products in the second quarter: a wireless keyboard and a programmable stand-alone touchpad.
