“The Tassajara Bread Book” author and Zen master Edward Espe Brown blends spirituality with kitchen advice and recipes in his new book, “Tomato Blessings and Radish Teachings” (Riverhead Books, $27.50). Needless to say, there are a couple of good radish salad recipes and several tomato recipes, as well as passages on tomato-eating ecstasy and the virtue of radishes.
