From Times Wire Reports

A former bank executive, quizzed by parliament in a bribery scandal that has rocked the government, was found hanged at his Seoul home--an apparent suicide--police said. Park Suk Tae, 59, a former loan officer of Korea First Bank, was among 41 politicians, bank officials and others questioned by a special parliamentary committee investigating the scandal. The scandal centers on Hanbo Iron & Steel Co., the nation’s second-largest steelmaker, which collapsed in January under $6 billion in debt.
