Gish Biomedical Inc.: The Irvine designer and manufacturer of disposable surgical products lost $155,900, or 5 cents a share, for its fiscal third quarter, contrasted with net income of $150,500, or 5 cents a share, for last year’s third quarter. Sales for the quarter ended March 31 dropped 15% to $5.1 million from $6 million. The net loss for the nine-month period was $102,600, or 3 cents a share, contrasted with net income of $164,200, or 5 cents a share, for the like period last year. Sales declined 8% to $15.8 million from $17.1 million. The company said that third-quarter results reflected a delay in the introduction of new products, as well as slower-than-anticipated sales of an ambulatory infusion pump, acquired in 1995, and continuing price competition in the cardiovascular surgery market.
