Leslie’s Poolmart Loses $6.1 Million in 1st Quarter

Leslie’s Poolmart posted a net loss of $6.1 million for its first quarter.
The Chatsworth-based company, which manufacturers pool supplies and products, reported that net income fell 10% compared with the same period last year.
Nevertheless, the company reported a 31% increase in sales for the first three months of the year, totaling $23.8 million compared with $18 million a year earlier.
Since December, Leslie’s has opened 24 new retail stores nationwide, bringing the total number of retail operations to 278 in 27 states.
