Conejo Valley Home Sales Rise as Prices Remain Flat

A total of 246 single-family homes were sold in March in the Conejo Valley, compared with 173 sold in February and 230 a year earlier, according to the Conejo Valley Assn. of Realtors.
The median sales price for single-family homes in March was $239,061, up slightly from $238,888 for March 1996. The median price is the point where half the units sold for more and half for less.
The breakdown was: $165,000 for 20 homes with up to two bedrooms, $206,000 for 76 three-bedroom homes and $281,481 for 150 homes with four or more bedrooms. In March 1996, the figures were $147,999 for 14 two-bedroom homes, $214,999 for 88 three-bedroom homes and $282,499 for 128 houses with four or more bedrooms.
There were 70 condominiums sold in March, compared with 55 in February and 77 a year earlier.
Total sales for all real estate transactions in March was $101.18 million. For March 1996, the total was $74.36 million.
