Golden West College Gives Top Award
Michael Adamo is this year’s recipient of Golden West College’s R. Dudley Boyce Outstanding Student Award.
Named after the college’s founding president, the award is the most prestigious scholarship given to students, officials said.
Adamo, who plans to transfer to a four-year university to study philosophy after he graduates from Golden West on Thursday, will be a featured speaker at the commencement ceremony.
His accomplishments at Golden West have included serving on 11 committees.
He was also instrumental in designing the logistics of constructing and establishing a multipurpose computer lab that allows students to access the Internet and review course information.
Graduation will be at 6 p.m. on campus, 15744 Golden West St.
