Conejo Valley Home Sales Rise, but Prices Slip

A total of 309 single-family homes were sold in the Conejo Valley in April, up considerably from the 246 sold in March and 258 a year ago, according to the Conejo Valley Assn. of Realtors.
The median sales price for single-family homes in April was $245,722, compared to $249,217 in April 1996. The median price is the point at which half the units sold for more and half for less.
The median price breakdowns were $158,000 for 21 homes with up to two bedrooms; $214,102 for 110 three-bedroom homes, and $310,869 for 178 homes with four or more bedrooms.
There were 80 condominiums sold in the Conejo Valley in April, compared to 70 in March and 80 in April 1996.
Total sales for all real estate transactions in April was $108.2 million. In 1996, the figure was $89.2 million.
