Quiksilver Shares Expected to Increase

COSTA MESA — Quiksilver Inc. said Thursday it’s comfortable with analysts’ per-share earnings estimates for the second quarter ended April 30.
A First Call survey of five analysts predicted that Quiksilver will earn 68 cents a share for the second quarter. Quiksilver reported net income of $4.4 million, or 61 cents a share, for the year-ago second quarter ended April 30.
Quiksilver, which designs and distributes casual sportswear, said sales for the second quarter rose 11.5% to $60.8 million from $54.5 million a year ago.
