Police Collecting Used Books for Kids

Share

The Los Angeles Police Department’s Central Division and other police facilities in downtown Los Angeles are helping collect used books for children.

Police are working with the Right to Read program, a nonprofit group founded by LAPD Officer Heather Wade. The program donates books directly to students who need them.

Since fall, 3,000 books have been collected. Donation bins are in the Central Division at 6th and Wall streets and Parker Center at 150 N. Los Angeles St.
