The Mission Viejo Vigilantes ended Grays Harbor’s five-game winning streak with an 8-6 victory Thursday night in Western Baseball League action at Saddleback College.

In front of 1,588 fans--the lowest turnout of the young season--the Vigilantes (9-10) rallied from a 6-3 deficit with four runs in the fourth inning. Back-to-back errors by Gull catcher Mark Kingston enabled Sean Drinkwater, Mike Cowell and Mike Moutrey to tie the score, 6-6. Sam Taylor scored the winning run on a groundout by Ruben Smiley.

Grays Harbor (10-9) took a 2-0 lead in the first, but left fielder Alan Burke’s two-run home run, his fifth of the year, go the Vigilantes even in their half of the inning.

Right fielder Sam Taylor had two hits, including his fifth homer, and two runs batted in for the Vigilantes.
