City Seeks to Fill Seats on Advisory Boards

The City Council is seeking applications for vacancies on four City Council advisory committees.

Members are needed for the Child Care and Youth Services Committee, which makes recommendations to the council involving youth issues.

The Redevelopment and Residential Rehabilitation Committee, which seeks ways to improve commercial properties and homes by making recommendations on how to spend government grants and other funds, also has openings.

Appointments are needed for the Access Appeal Board, which conducts hearings on written appeals concerning the city’s health and safety code. A related commission, the Building, Housing and Fire Codes Board of Appeals, also has openings.

Committees typically meet once a month and positions are unpaid. Interested parties are asked to submit a letter of interest and a brief resume to Mayor Peter Buffa, City Hall, P.O. Box 1200, Costa Mesa, 92628-1200.
