Embattled School Chief to Keep Job Until July 1

The embattled Inglewood school superintendent can remain on the job through the end of June.

A Superior Court judge extended a temporary restraining order Wednesday keeping Supt. McKinley Nash in his job until July 1 and enjoining the school board from hiring a new superintendent. The order was due to expire Wednesday, but Superior Court Judge Diane Wayne extended it when no opposition was filed.

Nash was fired by the school board in April, but returned to his post June 9.
