Candidates Sought to Fill Trustee Opening

Candidates are being sought for the Saddleback Valley Unified School District Board of Education to succeed Bobbee Cline, who resigned this week.

Applications, available in the superintendent’s office, will be accepted through July 7. Candidates must be at least 18 years old, residents of the school district and registered to vote.

The school board will conduct interviews and select an appointee at its July 8 meeting. During the public session, qualified candidates will make a three-minute presentation to the board.

Cline, 52, announced Tuesday night that she is stepping down from the board because she is moving out of the school district. She had served since June 1990, when she was appointed to fill a vacancy. She served as president of the board in 1993 and 1997.
