From Times Staff and Wire Reports

Controversy over gays in the military and recent sex scandals have demoralized troops, and a commission should be created to look at sex in the armed services, House Speaker Newt Gingrich said. “I think we have to look at the entire issue of sexuality in the military,” Gingrich (R-Ga.) said on “Fox News Sunday.” The Dallas Morning News reported that the Pentagon is reviewing its “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy. The Army’s top enlisted man is undergoing hearings to see if he should be court-martialed for sexual misconduct.
