Nashville Country Club Inc., a fast-growing resort and entertainment concern, raised $9.1 million in a stock offering Tuesday to fund its purchase of 51% of the company that owns Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre.

The company said it issued 2.6 million common shares to pay for its acquisition of Avalon West Coast, which owns and operates the 15,000-seat Irvine amphitheater and produces concerts and manages merchandising for a variety of musical and sports events, notably at the 65,000-seat Glen Helen amphitheater near San Bernardino. Encino-based Avalon is headed by veteran concert producer Robert E. Geddes, who is expected to become president of Nashville Country Club.

Nashville Country Club, based in Hickory Valley, Tenn., is planning to change its name to TBA Entertainment Corp.
