Javelin Touched for Yearly Loss Amid Sales Rise

Javelin Systems Inc., which designs touch-screen point-of-sale computers primarily for the food industry, said it lost $826,886, or 30 cents a share, for the fiscal year ended June 30, compared with a year-earlier net loss of $54,342, or 3 cents a share. The most recent loss included $636,097 in interest expenses related to the issuance of private placement warrants. Sales rose to $7 million from $1.5 million.

For the fourth quarter, the company earned $22,758, or 1 cent a share, down from the $86,032, or 4 cents a share, a year ago. Sales more than doubled to $2.7 million from $1.2 million.
