Where the Parties Are. . .and Aren’t

Share

“Do you know how to party?” was essentially the question asked of 56,000 college students in a recent survey. Judging from rankings released today, Caltech students answered no. “This is not the place for you if you want partying to be a major part of your college life,” said Lin Jia, 21, who graduated this year from Caltech with a degree in biology. “It’s not dead here. But it’s not like a party every third day of the week. We have our own little nutty was of enjoying ourselves.” An example: Every year on senior “ditch day,” Caltech seniors who disregard the custom of cutting classes are bound to trees with duct tape.
