IRVINE — Software developer International Veronex Resources Ltd. said Friday that it has acquired a specialized software maker in a stock swap worth about $450,000.
The acquisition of Mainstream Technologies Inc. in Santa Ana is expected to boost Veronex’s soon-to-be released product--a program designed to fix problems associated with the year 2000, which isn’t read correctly on older computers.
A Veronex spokesman said the company will retain all employees and both offices. He said the company also is expected to acquire another local company within a week.
