Slain State Troopers Saluted at Funeral

Townspeople lined the black-draped Main Street in Colebrook, N.H., as nearly 2,000 police officers from around the nation gathered for the funeral of two state troopers killed in a gunman’s rampage. The long police procession was led by 50 motorcycle officers from around the region and color guards from as far away as Pennsylvania. State Troopers Leslie Lord and Scott Phillips were killed Tuesday before the gunman also killed part-time judge Vickie Bunnell and newspaper editor Dennis Joos. The gunman, Carl Drega, then was killed in a gun battle with other officers.
