DreamWorks’ Notes Get AAA Rating
Moody’s Investors Service said it gave its top rating to $325 million in notes issued by DreamWorks SKG to finance films because of a safety net provided by a financial guaranty firm. Capital Markets Assurance Corp. issued a policy backing the notes and protecting investors from losses. Moody’s said that it rated the floating-rate notes, issued by DreamWorks Film Trust, at AAA and that it also gave Capital Markets the same rating. The notes were sold last month in private transactions through Bear Stearns and Chase Securities.
