Mexico
I read with utter amazement the overstated editorial on Dec. 1 regarding law and order in Mexico. I was in Guadalajara three weeks ago and there were only gracious people in the country’s second-largest city, from the taxi drivers to the merchants on the street. Every person we met was friendly and gracious.
There was no sign of “the crime wave wash(ing) the country day and night, from the capital to villages.” This was not true in Guadalajara and it was even the weekend of elections! The editorial is simply not an accurate picture of what we saw in Mexico.
