Something ‘Sacred’

Share

Concerning the TV series “Nothing Sacred” (“The ‘Sacred’ Debate,” Dec. 4): I feel that the Roman Catholics who oppose this show are the older ones who do not care to accept change.

Many priests in this day and age think differently and have brought together a lot of Catholics who haven’t been in the church for years. They are modern-thinking individuals who know you as a person rather than a group worshiping in a church. You can communicate with them, and they understand your feelings. I know this is true because I attend “the friendly parish” of Laguna Niguel.

I believe that if someone wants to attend the seminary, they will be drawn to it in their heart and because of the modern thinking of today’s priests and sisters and other clergy.

I think the bishops who signed the ad in favor of the show smelled the coffee and understand that the younger generation needed change.
