Share

About 10% of U.S. households plan to buy personal computers in the next six months, a survey by San Jose-based Dataquest found, as the price of PCs falls to less than $1,000. A survey by the market research group in October and November found that 10.2% of households plan to buy a PC in the next six months. That’s an increase of 1.5 million over the number of last year’s buyers, Dataquest said. The main reasons given by respondents included children’s educational use and Internet access.
