TOO SPICY

I opened the paper last Sunday and out fell the Calendar section with the Spice Girls taking up the whole cover, printed landscape mind you, so they were even bigger. My reaction can be summed up in one word:

AAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

Don’t do that to me before I’ve had my coffee.

I’m curious here. Just when was the last time anybody at Calendar was actually in a record store?

I hate to tell you this, well, because it’s a wee bit embarrassing, but both the Spice Girls and Jamiroquai are, well--oh heck, I’ll come out and say it, since everybody already knows this (even Rolling Stone, for goodness sake!): They are quite frankly over with! Really. No matter what their press or label folks tell you. Honest! Yep, they are both last summer’s news.
