Other Cities Have Help for First-Timers Too

I would like to applaud The Times for reporting on a program that opens the doors to homeownership for people who never thought it could become a reality in their lives. (“Homespun Dreams,” Dec. 7.)
I only wish that the article had mentioned other cities with similar programs.
The Inglewood Neighborhood Housing Services has administered the city of Inglewood’s program for more than three years, providing homeownership to 66 families. Long Beach, Culver City and Hawthorne also have programs similar to Home Works!
