$30,000 Allocated for Foundation Chief
A divided City Council has agreed to give the Tustin Community Foundation $30,000 for a year to fund the position of executive director.
Councilmen Jim Potts and Mike Doyle voted against the funding, saying they would have preferred a loan that the foundation could repay when it becomes more financially stable.
However, other council members said the foundation should be supported.
“Ninety-five percent of every dollar they raise goes back into the community,” Councilwoman Tracy Wills Worley said. “If we cut the money now, the whole thing might collapse.”
