Jazz Finds Rhythm on Road

Karl Malone scored 30 points and the Utah Jazz broke open a close game by holding the Magic to two field goals in the first nine minutes of the fourth quarter in an 85-73 victory Thursday night at Orlando, Fla.
Rony Seikaly had 20 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Magic, who appeared sluggish despite playing on five days’ rest.
Phoenix 89, Dallas 75--Antonio McDyess scored 10 of his 14 points during a 22-8 third-quarter surge at Dallas and the Suns ended a three-game losing streak by sending the Mavericks to their seventh loss in a row.
Seattle 119, Denver 106--Vin Baker had 18 points and 10 rebounds at Seattle as the SuperSonics earned their fifth consecutive victory to improve to a league-best 20-5.
Denver remained the league’s only winless road team.
