Bridgford Income Up

Bridgford Foods Corp., which makes convenience food products, said net income for the fiscal year ended Oct. 31 reached a record $6.6 million, or 64 cents a share, 16% higher than the $5.7 million, or 55 cents a share, reported a year ago. Sales gained 8% to $127.9 million from $118.3 million.

Fourth-quarter net income advanced 16% to $2.2 million, or 21 cents a share, from $1.9 million, or 18 cents a share, for the like period last year. Sales increased 12% to $34.4 million from $30.8 million.
