Lottery Distributes Massive Winnings

Champagne flowed and winners took to the streets as residents of the southern town of Granada celebrated winning “The Fat One”: the grand prize of $270 million in Spain’s traditional Christmas lottery. The annual game, started in 1818 and billed as the richest in the world, dished out a total of $1.2 billion in winnings to thousands of ticket holders throughout Spain.
