Re “CIA Probe Absolves Agency on L.A. Crack,” Dec. 18: What a relief! We will all sleep more soundly now, knowing that the CIA has investigated itself and found nothing linking the agency to the sale of drugs on the streets of L.A.

I can’t wait until the definitive investigative report by E. Howard Hunt comes out on the Watergate break-in. And what, I wonder, will the Ollie North investigative commission come up with on Iran-Contra? I bet those reports will be equally shocking.

Since when does the fox get to investigate the raid on the henhouse?
