It’s not too late to take part in holiday activities, with several events still planned. Here are a few:

Kwanzaa Celebration

The fourth annual Kwanzaa Celebration, sponsored by the African Cultural Arts Council, will be Saturday at Valley High School in Santa Ana.

This year marks the 31st anniversary of Kwanzaa, an African-American holiday.

The program begins at 1:30 p.m. and concludes at 5 p.m. Admission is $5 per person or $15 for a family of four or more. The school is at 1501 S. Greenville.

A Call to Arms

Hugs for Health Foundation, an organization that provides hugs to those who are lonely, elderly, hospitalized or without families, is seeking huggers this holiday season.

From Thursday through Jan. 31, Hugs for Health encourages people countywide to participate in its “Hug in the New Year” program. Huggers of all ages may join the Hug Squad Volunteers. To sign up, call (714) 832-HUGS.

Canned Food Drive

Tustin police still are accepting canned and dry food today for their campaign to feed the needy this Christmas. Donations can be dropped off at the Police Department, 300 Centennial Way. Information: (714) 573-2000.

Toy Donations

The Beach Chiropractic Sports Center needs help providing gifts for the abused or neglected children who live at Orangewood Children’s Home in Orange.

Sean Tran, one of the center’s doctors, is a former Orangewood resident and will be offering his services free or at 50% discounts to anyone who brings in a gift.

Presents may be delivered to the center, 18700 Beach Boulevard, Suite 120, in Huntington Beach today until 1 p.m. Information: (714) 965-9577.

Food Donations

The Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County is accepting food donations through Dec. 31.

The organization’s goal this year is to contribute 50,000 pounds of canned and dry foods.

Donations may be dropped off in barrels, stationed at a number of churches, companies and agencies countywide. Information: (714) 771-1343.

Chamber Music Marathon

A 12-hour chamber music marathon will take place at Saddleback College Saturday to raise money for music scholarships. The event is being sponsored by the student chapter of the American String Teachers Assn. and will run from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Admission is $2 per person.
